ABOUT US
Lila Cockrell is the Executive Director of Advantage Youth Tennis and Education (AYTE) Organization. We are a Lakewood, CA-based group that assists financially challenged junior tennis athletes within the Los Angeles County area.

AYTE is excited about our future contributions to the world of junior tennis. Based on the underexposed and underresourced recreational programs of the community, we have seen promising interest in the game of tennis by youth.
​
AYTE is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization providing scholarships for deserving underprivileged aspiring student-athletes. We encourage excellence in academics and support individual, as well as team tennis with advanced sports training opportunities.

AYTE is committed to ensuring that young people reach their maximum potential as student-athletes without succumbing to the financial burdens that may impede their growth in the sport they love. Our organization understands that underserved student-athletes often fall through the cracks when parents must make hard financial choices between survival or the future development of their children. AYTE works to eliminate the financial hardship barrier to the development of tennis student-athletes.

We are very proud of the achievements of our junior tennis athletes. With the assistance of AYTE, they were able to compete and win the USTA’s Southern California 14’s/18’s Fall 2018 Jr. Team Tennis Sectional Championship and Gar Glenney Cup. Also, they have achieved academic excellence reflected through an increase in their GPA scores. Furthermore, our student-athletes provide community service through tennis instruction for beginning junior tennis players. These are some of the many accomplishments the AYTE tennis student-athletes have attained within the program’s first year.

However, as a nonprofit organization, AYTE, rely solely on fundraising events, donating businesses and individuals like yourself giving what you can. Tax-deductible donations assist our developing junior tennis athletes with acquiring transportation, equipment, training, meals, and tournament registration fees.

In appreciation for your generous donation, you will receive a receipt which will include our tax ID number. For contributions of $500+, your company’s logo will be added to the AYTE website, and you will receive a newsletter on the progress of our athletes.
